Graphic Design Final Project

For the Graphic Design Project, I decided to create a poster advertising myself as an Athletic Director. I decided to base my poster off of images of me playing sports, to show that I have experience playing and watching sports and would be very knowledgeable as an AD. I believe that this poster is a good representation of me and my experience with sports. I used all images that are important to me personally. For the draft, I compiled these images into a poster. I chose the background image first and then opened up pictures of me playing sports and used the magnetic lasso tool to crop them and pull them over to the main image. I then used the text to create a graphic up top to illustrate to potential employers exactly what it is that I’m advertising. After receiving feedback from my peers, and taking another look at it myself I decided that I like the concept that I’m rolling with, a poster. Based off of the feedback I first changed the font to one that looks more professional and appealing. Next, I decided to add in an additional image of me taken during football. The most important thing that I did was to change the opacity of the overlayed image to make them blend in more. Now it looks cool because they are a bit see-through, and they pop less and look as if they belong here. I think this improved the overall aesthetic greatly. I love the images that I chose to use because as I mentioned they are very personal to me. Photos of me playing basketball and football make me smile because I remember how happy I was on the field or court. I am very happy with how it turned out, and with how much I have learned about Photoshop while working on this unit.
